Don’t pitch until this list is done

You can apply anytime. We still walk this list. Each item is pass or fail. There is no almost.
A missing line is a note from us, not a mystery. Tighten it, then the form again.
The list
1. Face-forward photo Pass: it looks like you on camera. Eyes, no sunglasses, no logo, no group shot. Fail: a cartoon, a wedding table, a still from a video where we cannot find you.
2. Niche in the first line of the bio Pass: a room we can brief. “Houston. Bilingual. Weeknight dinners for millennial houses.” Fail: “Lifestyle | beauty | travel | mom | Latina ✨”
3. Languages you actually shoot in Pass: Spanish, English, or both — the mix you use on camera, named. Fail: nothing. Or “Spanglish” with no work that switches on purpose.
4. City Pass: Houston, not Texas. Chicago, not Midwest. Fail: blank. Or “based in the US.”
5. Highlights that match the work you want Pass: a highlight that looks like the job — recipes, skin, money, the restaurant. Fail: 40 highlights of random weekends and one named “collabs” with a story from 2022.
6. An email you check Pass: in the bio. You answered a test mail this week. Fail: only the DM, which you open when you remember.
7. Three pinned pieces that could run as ads Pass: you would be proud if a brand put Spark on these. Same niche. Sound we can hear. Fail: a dance, a rant, and a sunset. Or three takes of the same joke.
8. A one-page kit Pass: niche, who is there, three outcomes, a rate, a contact. PDF or a stable link. Fail: no kit. Or a 12-page Canva “about me.”
9. Proof you can point at Pass: a save rate, a sold-out link, comments that sound like buying, a past collab with a result. Fail: “engaged audience.” Fail: logos of brands you were not paid by.
10. A rate you can say out loud Pass: “Dedicated Reel plus 90-day Spark is $X.” You can say it to a friend without laughing or apologizing. Fail: “depends.” Fail: “open to gifted” as the whole offer. Fail: a number you will walk back on the call.
How to score it
Ten passes: apply. We want the form. We’ll likely say yes.
Nine: you can still apply. We’ll probably send you back for the one.
Eight or fewer: apply if you want us to have the email. Expect a few lessons and a second look. Academy is how you get there without a manager.
What this is for
Brands do not owe you a discovery call so you can figure out your niche on their time. Neither do we.
This list is the eight-second glance. Bio, grid, kit, number. If those four hold, the rest of the brief is work we can do together. If they do not, no amount of “I can do anything” will save the pitch.
Hispanic creators lose jobs to people who are less talented and more specific. Be specific. Be findable. Be priced.
When this list is green, apply. Niche, city, languages, rate, one proof point. No account. Briefs once we’re a match. Academy stays open either way.
